The Ring of Saturn in palmistry is a semicircular mark across the area below the middle finger. Cheiro gives it an extremely pessimistic interpretation, but his assertions do not establish that a person will fail, remain alone or experience tragedy. A curved crease is not a forecast.
If you are trying to identify the mark, compare its position with the finger-base crease, the Girdle of Venus and any upward Fate line. Those nearby features can create a misleading resemblance.
Where Cheiro places the ring
Look beneath the middle-finger base, in the region called the Saturn mount. In Cheiro's description and Plate XX, the named ring curves across that region. It is not a ring worn on the finger, a circular mark anywhere on the palm, or every crease where the finger joins the hand.
Comparison drawing based on named historical locations; not a diagnosis of a real palm.
The ring appears in the Girdle, Saturn and bracelet chapter of Cheiro's Palmistry for All. His illustration is an idealised reference. A partial resemblance in a photograph does not remove uncertainty about which path is visible.

Photo tips
Keep your palm flat, fingers slightly apart and lines in focus. Use bright, even light, and photograph each palm the same way.

Compare the curve with its neighbours
Identify the start, direction and visible extent of the mark before naming it. A short base fold can look like part of a semicircle. A longer curve travelling across more than one finger region belongs to a different comparison. A vertical path approaching the middle finger is not a ring merely because it reaches Saturn.
| Visible object | Check | Avoid assuming |
|---|---|---|
| Small curve below the middle finger | Is it distinct from the finger-base fold? | That every curved fragment forms a ring |
| Longer arc across the upper palm | Compare the Girdle's broader course | That its middle portion is a separate Saturn ring |
| Upward path towards the middle finger | Follow it down the palm | That the end of a Fate line is a semicircle |
Our Girdle of Venus guide covers the broader arc. The Fate-line guide covers the upward path. If your view does not show the boundaries clearly, stop with an unidentified curve.
Why the old meaning sounds so alarming
Cheiro presents the ring as an unfortunate sign and claims that people bearing it fail in their plans and relationships. The passage offers his assertions and claimed experience, not a controlled test that establishes those outcomes. We should not turn the severity of an author's confidence into evidence. The original passage shows where this frightening interpretation comes from.
There is no reason here to adopt its judgments about your character, marriage or future. The same boundary applies if someone repeats the interpretation in gentler language, calls the mark blocked energy, or offers a paid way to remove its consequences. A different label does not supply the missing evidence.
This page also gives no rarity percentage. A historical writer's statement that he seldom saw a mark is not a population measurement.
Replace a verdict with an observation note
Describe what you can actually see and name what remains uncertain. For an invented example: a curved fragment lies below the middle-finger base; it may meet the base crease; the other end is not visible. That note is more useful than declaring a bad Saturn ring and looking for a disaster to explain it.
The identification task can finish without adopting the prediction.
If the interpretation has been upsetting, leave the image alone for a while. You do not need repeated readings to prove that the mark is harmless, or a replacement flattering interpretation to cancel an alarming one. Neither story is established by the crease.
What to do if a reader sells a remedy
If someone demands payment to prevent misfortune, stop the purchase conversation. Ask for the actual terms of the service, keep relevant payment records, and decline further pressure. Our palm-reading scam warning guide offers a practical stop message and further options.
If you still enjoy palmistry as symbolism, PalmMingle explains its entertainment and reflection scope. It does not remove curses, diagnose a problem or forecast failure. Learning the name of a curve is enough; your plans do not need permission from it.
Palmistry is an interpretive tradition, not a diagnostic tool. PalmMingle frames palm readings as entertainment and self-reflection, not prediction.
